Special Atomic Wings Lunch & Learn to Kick-off Advanced Reactors Summit VII & Showcase Events

November 26, 2019

A special edition of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Nuclear Energy Atomic Wings Lunch & Learn program on the afternoon of February 10, 2020, will serve to launch the Advanced Reactors VII and Showcase at the University of Tennessee in conjunction with Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Knoxville.

"Propelling the Next Generation for Advanced Nuclear Energy" is the program's focus.  The Atomic Wings program will feature students from the University as well as rising early-career representatives from Oak Ridge National Laboratory, TVA and the greater Knoxville community.

The Atomic Wings Lunch & Learn Series is a U.S. Department of Energy sponsored bipartisan educational program for Members of Congress, Hill Staff & Industry, informing both sides of the aisle on the benefits of nuclear energy.

The AR Summit VII & Showcase at the University of Tennessee is the largest cross-cutting technology gathering of the Advanced Nuclear community in the United States with more than 400 participants expected for its array of events.  Along with the Atomic Wings Lunch & Learn on February 10, events include a Plenary Session on February 11-12; Welcome Reception on February 10; an Awards Reception on February 11; and a Technology Trailblazers Showcase at the Summit.  Sponsors and Showcasers include General Atomics; Oak Ridge National Laboratory; ClearPath; Argonne National Laboratory; and Framatome.
